New OMS 25 Unveiled
The car design is collaboration between OMS Racing and Autosport Developments, with the subsequent manufacture of the patterns for the tub, side pods and engine cover by Autosport Developments. The high nose composite tub and carbon bodywork is all made in house at the OMS facility, as are all of the mouldings and the CNC-machined ancillaries. The rear end of the car was designed and developed by OMS Racing and during the 2009 season the works car tested this CNC machined assembly that houses the drive train, differential and chain tensioning system. This assembly features on the bike engine versions of the new car.
The prototype car is running a 1600cc Suzuki Hayabusa, but with five orders so far for the new car and 2 already under construction and due to be completed shortly, at least one will run a Ford Duratec unit.
