First British Championship Points for Griffiths

Lee Griffiths qualified for his first Nicholson McLaren British Hillclimb Championship run off in his new OMS 25 at Harewood on Sunday 15th May.

Round 5 saw 6 of the 1600cc cars qualify along with one 1100cc car following rain showers during the morning class runs. Other OMS drivers in the run off were Tim Wilson who shares the car with Lee, and Steve Owen. Trevor Willis failed to qualify following a half spin on slick tyres in wet conditions, as rain fell hard during class L timed runs.

All three OMS drivers scored points and Lee was delighted with his first run off success.
