Living on an Island
Following the somewhat inclement weather at the July British Hillclimb Championship meeting at Les Val des Terres, Guernsey competitors returned to their home hill on Saturday August 6th. A number of OMS drivers attended the event and enjoyed the considerably improved weather conditions.
Sarah Gaudion, driving the 1300cc OMS CF08, continues to improve each time she visits the hill in her new OMS. She set another personal best time on Saturday of 32.57 seconds, leaving her 7 tenths adrift of the ladies hill record held by fellow lady OMS driver Jackie Le Cheminant.
Also driving an OMS at the meeting was James Shorto who set a stunning time in an 1100cc car of 29.95 seconds in the OMS he shares with his father.
Well done to both drivers.
