Sporting Achievement Nomination
OMS driver Sarah Gaudion had a very successful competition season last year. As reported in previous news items, Sarah has set personal best times, broken ladies records and set a new class record during 2012.
She is now the fastest lady to have driven up Le Val des Terres hillclimb on Guernsey and at the Alderney speed weekend, Sarah reset her own ladies records at both the hillclimb and sprint meetings. She also became the first lady ever in Channel Islands motorsport history to hold an outright class record.
To recognise her endeavor, Sarah has been nominated for The Guernsey Press Sporting Achievement of the Year Award. She is up against strong opposition that includes a world champion bowler, the Guernsey World Cricket League Five squad, an England hockey international and the six Nations table tennis tournament.
"To be nominated is an achievement in itself" said Sarah, "If I don't win I am still very proud to have been nominated."
Congratulations to Sarah on her nomination. The winner will be announced on Wednesday 16th January and we wish Sarah the very best of luck.
