NSW Hillclimb Championship rounds 2 & 3 Bathurst

Newly crowned 2014 Australian Hillclimb Champion Malcolm Oastler opened his 2015 score card at the Bathurst Car Club double header weekend, having missed the previous opening round of the state championship.

In his first event of the season with the turbo charged OMS 28, the Bathurst Esses Hillclimb round 2 of the New South Wales Hillclimb Championship, Malcolm set the tone with his first climb and on the second run established fastest time of day to win the meeting.

The following day at round 3 Bathurst Mountain Straight Hillclimb the longest and fastest on the NSW event calander, Malcolm once again set the pace on his first run. The pattern was set in a similar fashion to the previous day with Malcolm running quicker than his closest challengers on each climb. Malcolm's final run time posted fastest time of day to win his second meeting in two days.

Despite having missed the opening round of the NSW State Championship, the double header wins should have placed Malcolm at the top of the points table as they move to round 4 at Fairbairn Park, Canberra on 12th April.
