Craigantlet BHC Rounds 3 & 4
The first of the overseas British Hillclimb Championship events was at Craigantlet Hillclimb just outside Belfast in Northern Ireland for rounds 3 and 4 of the championship, on Saturday 2nd May.
With wet conditions throughout the North West of the UK, Craigantlet had its fair share of rain for the event. Only a few British Championship registered competitors made the journey, so the run offs consisted of the usual front runners plus some contenders who were able to score their first points of the season.
Run off one was won by Will Hall with Wallace Menzies in second place. Third placed man Trevor Willis in his OMS 28 V8 missed out by 3/100ths to Wallace's time.
In the second run off Trevor scooped the win by nearly a full second from Will Hall and one and a half seconds ahead of third placed Alex Summers.
Following Trevor's disappointing Prescott meeting where he missed scoring points in round 1, his Craigantlet results in rounds 3 & 4 have moved him up into second place in the championship table.
