Mount Cotton Hillclimb
MG Car Club of Queensland Australia hosted round 4 of the TSA-SRA Hillclimb series. The event at Mount Cotton experienced a timing glitch on the Saturday which was repaired for the timed runs on the Sunday. Competitors took six timed runs with OMS 2000M driver Jim Milliner achieving a PB to join a small select group of drivers that have completed the course in under 40 seconds.
Thanks to there being no major incidents, competitors were able to get 6 timed runs. Highlight of the weekend was Jim Milliner becoming the 25th person who gets around the track in under 40s.
Unfortunately, Jim's first under 40s run became an over 40s run as a 5 second penalty was added to his time for hitting a cone. Fortunately, he still had the Top Six competition to make amends and he did. He kept clear of the cone and posted a 39.86 time, an identical time which ironically was the same as the one he had done earlier! (Courtesy of MGCCQ website).
