Silver Medal For Willis at Sternberk
Congratulations to all Team UK Drivers on their fabulous performance at the FIA Hill Climb Masters at Sternberk in the Czech Republic.
Having just missed out on a medal two years ago at Eschdorf, Trevor Willis made sure he would go home with a medal this time. Running very close on times, Scott Moran and Trevor annexed the top two places in Group 3 from the very start of timed runs on Sunday.
Trevor put in a storming second heat climb (1.19.18) to take the lead from Scott (1.19.49) by 3/10ths, with Wallace Menzies (1.20.57) sitting in third position. On the final climb of the event Scott (1.18.93) snatched the lead from Trevor (1.19.11) by 18/100ths, with Wallace further improving his time (1.19.67) to finish third in group 3.
The trio took home Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively, leaving French driver Cyrille Frantz out of the medals in fourth place.

Those of us back in the UK enjoyed excellent live streaming of the event with commentary on Sunday, along with a live timing facility to keep up with all the action. A big thank you too, to all of you who were posting information and photos on Facebook from Sternberk.
More photographs from Sternberk are posted in the OMS gallery.
